What we learned from FC Cincinnati’s win against Chivas Guadalajara

FC Cincinnati winning everything is in sight now, no matter which opponent or which league this club belongs to.

FC Cincinnati on Wednesday defeated the great Chivas de Guadalajara, a more than a century old club based in Mexico’s Liga MX, with a 3-1 victory at TQL Stadium.

In addition to successfully carrying the Major League Soccer logo, the FCC has saved its players precious minutes, comforted its stars and freshmen, and even seemed to gain a bit of momentum from the show’s competition.

“I thought the group’s performance was strong after a relatively slow start,” FC Cincinnati coach Pat Noonan said. “Once we figured out our defensive formation and how we wanted to press, I thought the guys did a really good job and turned that slow start into the finish… I’m really happy with the way the group came together and went up to beat a strong opponent.”
