About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Event Manager(s) to join the ESO Event Management team,
Reporting to the Head of Events.
You will be responsible for working with local organizers and key suppliers to ensure that all events are delivered to an exceptionally high standard. Excellent communication skills are essential to ensuring internal and external coordination and are essential to communicating with colleagues across the ESO and WBD teams, particularly our sports team that leads all elements of the competition.
This is a challenging and exciting role that requires precise event planning skills and high levels of motivation and energy. You’ll need the determination to get things done and the ability to plan and deliver multiple events in parallel.
Manage the delivery of events that are part of the UCI Mountain World Cup season by liaising with local organizing committees, fellow ESOs and chain suppliers, and creating and promoting a culture of teamwork, strong relationships, best practices, and clear planning and implementation frameworks.
Ensures that the needs of all functional areas and customer groups are identified and delivered by either the LOC or ESO supplier(s).
Develop and implement a series of best practices at scale to ensure ESO and LOC teams work on a single coordinated event plan with clear documentation on plans and delivery.
Manage ESO’s relationships with selected suppliers throughout the season and ensure that delivery standards are of the highest possible standards.
– Learn about innovation in event delivery to help raise the profile of sports.
Manage contracts for the specific LOC to ensure that agreed actions are taken and that the LOC operates according to the agreed schedule.
Support the procurement of key ESO suppliers by defining the scoping and bidding and contracting process to ensure clarity of delivery scope, budget and deliverables.
Develop positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and monitor chain risks, reduce responsibilities and engage stakeholders with mitigation actions to remove or manage any risks.
Develop and manage specific event budgets, create forecasts and reports to update the Head of Events through the various stages of event planning and delivery.
Representing ESO’s goals by presenting events that elevate mountain biking to one of the most respected sports in the world.
Proven experience as an event manager, including events delivered internationally
Experience in outdoor sporting events, preferably in the cycling/mountain biking industry. – Project management

Good understanding of health, safety and risk assessment by presenting events on a large scale
Deliver best practices across multiple sites
