Titans coach Mike Frabel doubles his lead after 0-2, defeat

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) – Tennessee coach Mike Frabel has two-time NFL title race champion Derek Henry, and the AP NFL Coach of the Year double.

Yes, despite the Titans’ first 0-2 start in a decade and coming off the worst loss of his period in a 41-7 loss to Buffalo on Monday night.

Frabel focuses on what his Titans can do rather than listening to the rising chorus of enthusiastic fans fire second-year offensive coordinator Todd Downing or even the failures of General Manager John Robinson’s latest draft after six straight seasons and three straight playoff berths.

“This is not a surprising time for wholesale changes,” Frabel said Tuesday. “This is about getting back to basics and what we believe in, what we’ve been successful at, and making sure everyone sees it the same way I do.”

This means cutting back on what the Titans are trying to do and doing better. Frabel said he wants to get back to basics and techniques, and make sure everyone understands what they are being asked to do.
