Sleeper and the Bust DK مسابقة Competition

Most Tuesdays, Fridays, and some other days, Paul Sporer and I will do work 5 dollar kings game for anyone interested. A link will be added as soon as it becomes available.

Closest chaos

Dylan Floro threw the inning on Thursday, allowing one to run on two strokes while scoring one to score his fifth tackle of the season. Floro appears to be getting closer to Miami or at worst a big part of the equation after successfully stopping the Marlins last week. If you’re desperate for a rescue, Miami has a very nice schedule with two series against the Nationals with a home cubs series in between.

quick beats

Justin Dunn was put on IL with a shoulder problem. This season will likely be over.

JT Brubaker left Thursday’s match with a latitude problem. Take it day in and day out for now.

Various news and notes
Brandon Marsh went 4-4 with a double and triple in the loss to the Marlins on Thursday.

Marsh has struggled hard this year, coming in at 0.242/.291/.379 with 10 home runs and 10 stolen bases in 405 board appearances. However, since returning from IL, he hit .333 with two home runs and a stolen base while playing an amazing defense for a team that desperately needs an outside defense in Philly. Marsh is a high-risk/high-reward pick up on the stretch and a potential dormant for the next year.

Dre Jameson threw seven goalless innings against Padres, allowing only two hits and walking while he was hitting seven.

Despite the very dominant stats streak, the outing wasn’t overly impressive. He logged a total of eight puffs on the outing (two from his Fastball and none from the snorkeler) and while his expedition report says he can hit 100 mph, he’s mostly sitting 94-96 in the outing. This was his first major league appearance and he’s gone in seven games against a tough Padres squad, so there are some promises, I don’t know I’m rushing to the wire to grab it yet unless it’s really cheap as I don’t. I don’t think I feel super comfortable starting it after that against the Dodgers.

Flowing pitchers (<50% at CBS)

Today’s Pitcher: Mitch Keeler at NYM

It’s risky any time you’re facing a Mets attack, but Keeler has been pretty good quietly.

High-Risk Options: Matt Manning vs CHW, German Marquez at CHC, Austin Voth at TOR, Michael Loernzen vs SEA,

Jug of Tomorrow: Wade Miley vs COL

Miley had a nice comeback from IL and got the Rockies on the house.

High-Risk Options: Eduardo Rodriguez vs CHW, Jon Gray at TB, Rich Hill vs KC.

For those of you who would like to see how these shots work, I have a document I put together to track stats from recommended shooters. It does not include “high-risk options”.
