Predictions and odds for Week 4 College Football

Michigan football is finally starting to play the Big Ten this week as Maryland will come 3-0 to Ann Arbor for their opening game on home soil. Here’s a look at the odds and early prediction.

Everyone had their say about michigan footballThe non-conference schedule was no doubt poor.

He wasn’t supposed to be as weak as he was. In most years, Colorado State and Hawaii were two Moutain West teams competing for bowl games. UConn has been a mess but the program hasn’t always been that way and seems to be heading in the right direction under Jim Mora Jr.

She let the Michigan football know where the QB is. It also allowed a large number of players to get experience in the first three games which should come in handy now that the Big Ten has started.

But Maryland is no joke and competition is on the ground. Every team in the Big Ten East is 3-0 at the moment except for Michigan State.

First things first, Michigan football should concern Maryland and its dynamic offense (499 yards per game). Maryland had a bowl game last year and won it. Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa threw for just under 300 yards in the game. He’s completed 77 percent of his passes and has six touchdowns to go along with two interceptions.

Roman Hemby has also appeared in Terps and has averaged 9.3 yards per carry so far this season. The receiving kernel isn’t bad either. The Maryland defense allows 393 yards per game, including 272 yards in the air.

The defense scored only five sacks and concedes a lot of penalty space. Nearly four first defeats in a game are given up by Maryland due to a penalty kick. Terps also have one takeaway imposed per game.

Maryland also beat some donuts but defeated the strong SMU team with a touchdown last week. We’ll have more on Terps, but here’s an early look at the possibilities, as well as our early prediction of Michigan football against the spread.

Michigan Football vs. Maryland Odds in Week 4 College Football

Having earned 40 or more points in each of the past three weeks, Michigan football is now favored 16.5 points over Terrapins according to WynnBET. The over/under for this game is set at 62 points and the money line is -700 for Michigan and +475 for Maryland.

We’ll have more details and overall predictions at the end of the week, but our first impression is that Maryland will be a good test for the Wolverines.

At the very least, we will get to know the pass defense. With three games Michigan football allows just 91 yards in the air and a 44 percent completion rate. Wolverines also only allowed one landing.

The running defense also only gives up three yards per carry and was very effective against UConn who was averaging over 200 yards per game on the ground.

Tagoviloa is dangerous and he’s moved the ball really well at times last year against Michigan. However, Maryland struggled hard against UM under Jim Harbaugh, who was 6-0 against Terps and won those games with an average of 33 points.

21 points was the closest margin, and I think we’ll see Michigan with something in that range on Saturday – 41 Wolverines, Maryland 17.
