GRAND RAPIDS, MI (Wood) – Confluence, a multi-day festival in Grand Rapids later this month, has announced collaborations with several local universities, including Western Michigan University, Ferris State University, and Michigan State University .
WMU-Grand Rapids will participate in Maker Expo and host the first Confluence Robotics Expo, according to a press release about the festival.
FSU will support the Innovation Show and competition in the festival’s esports competition, the statement said. In addition, Aquinas College, University of Davenport and Grand Valley State University will also compete in the festival’s Rocket League esports tournament.
Organizers said Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design will design the trophies and takeaways for the competition.
Through Spartan Innovations and the MSU Science Festival, organizers say the university is sponsoring the entire festival.
